Positive Training for Positive Results!

Now Under New Ownership!

We are pleased to announce that Ashley Conlin and Debbie Revell together have purchased Pets Behave. This combination is a powerful team with a great understanding and over 40 Years experience in all aspects of animal behavior.

Ashley was previously the Behavior and Enrichment Manager at Alaqua Animal Refuge and Debbie, the founder of Pets Behave, had been overseeing all aspects of the business until she sold/retired in 2020.

The new team is excited to be at the helm of Pets Behave once again, and are planning for a grand reopening and a 20 year celebration in January, 2024. But first, the facility will be getting a much needed deep cleaning, painting and renovation over the next 2 months.

In January, we will be welcoming back old and new clients and their four-legged friends. The January schedule for puppy kindergarten is available here and beginner obedience is available here. The new schedules for agility, nose work, rally obedience, competition obedience, and tricks will be coming soon.

Creating Confident Canines!

We offer training from puppyhood to advanced obedience and behavior modification programs.

Our certified trainers are committed to only using scientifically proven, veterinarian supported, reward-based methods that will get you results and that will never hurt, scare or intimate your pet.

This means no physical corrections or punishments, no choke/prong/shock collars, and no intimidation. These methods are outdated, unnecessary, and have the potential for unwanted behavior side effects. Read more from the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior here.

Group classes allow you to learn and practice skills around controlled distractions and encourage you to be consistent about training during the course period. For some, a combination of one or more private lessons then a group class works best to set a solid foundation and set you on the path to training success.

Our Beginner Obedience class is designed to help you set a solid foundation for basic life skills and to improve your understanding of a modern, science-based approach to communicating with and teaching your dog.
