Part 1: Building Confidence: Behavior & Body Language

Ideal for dog owners that want to have a better understanding and relationship with their dogs.

Dogs speak to us in some surprising ways. Learning what they’re saying is a key ingredient for keeping your dog happy and safe. Ever wonder why your dog barks, lunges and growls at other dogs, bikes, or people? Would you like to know how to help your best friend better cope. Come join us for a fun afternoon full of information and training tips!

What’s covered:

  • Understanding your dog’s body language
  • Identify subtle signs of stress vs relaxation
  • Miscommunications between dogs, adults and children
  • Safety and bite prevention
  • Insights into two common myths that sabotage many human-canine relationships
  • Understanding the difference between behavior modification and training
  • Awareness into why a dog may become ‘reactive’
  • The secret of ‘fear periods’, and the impact they can have on a dog’s development
  • Strategies to help build our dogs’ confidence and coping skills in a human world
  • And more!
